“Stories From Carthage Street”

People and places from the past in Carthage Street, from Roderick Street to Bourke Street.

This event took place on Sunday 22 April, 2018 with up to 150 people joining in along the way.

Join us for a walk along Carthage Street, led by historian and Tamworth Historical Life Member, Rod Hobbs, as he tells stories from the past of the buildings and their inhabitants.

We will start from the corner of Carthage and Roderick Streets at 9am, finishing at the corner of Bourke Street and Griffin Avenue.

Morning tea will be enjoyed in Anzac Park at around 10.30am.  A gold coin donation would be appreciated.

This walk is part of  the 2018 Tamworth Regional Heritage Festival. You can find more details of the Festival here.
