This walk is one of the events marking 200 years since the explorer John Oxley travelled over Kamilaroi lands and crossed what is now known as the Peel River, near the present day city of Tamworth.

To mark the bicentenary of this event, a re-enactment walk will start at the Tangaratta Vineyard, Old Winton Road, concluding at the Peel River (8kms). Free bus transport to and from the start/finish is available if required.  There is a luncheon at the finish.

Bus pickup is from Hungry Jacks at 9.30am

Information is available from Mike Cashman on telephone 67658610 or 0481944420.
