Tamworth Bicentenary Coach Trip ‘In the Footsteps of Oxley & Evans’

Tamworth Historical Society has organised a coach trip to mark the Bicentenary of John Oxley’s expedition, 1818-2018. Commencing in Tamworth on Wednesday 3 October, the 3 day trip will travel to Wauchope via Apsley Falls on the first day, continue to Port Macquarie on the second day and return to Tamworth via Walcha on Friday 5 October.
Highlights of the trip include Timbertown Resort, Lake Innes House, Port Macquarie Courthouse, the Glass House Theatre & Art Gallery, Port Macquarie and Walcha Historical Society visits, a dinner with guest speaker Rob Tickle, author of ‘John Oxley, A New Perspective’, and a tour of historic house, ‘Langford’ near Walcha, on the return journey.
